Hair Loss & Scalp Concern Consultation, Ipswich Suffolk
Stephanie Sey takes a holistic approach to trichology, recognising that hair health is closely connected to overall well-being. She considers medical, lifestyle, and environmental factors to provide personalised, effective care.
Before any treatments are recommended, an initial consultation allows for a thorough clinical assessment of your individual concerns, helping ensure that any next steps are appropriate and well-informed.
By the end of your consultation, you will understand:
what type of hair loss or scalp condition you may be experiencing
whether treatment is appropriate or necessary
what your realistic options are, including choosing not to pursue treatment at this stage
Many clients book an initial consultation simply to gain clarity and reassurance, even if they decide not to proceed with treatment.
-
Booking your consultation is the first step towards understanding what’s happening with your hair and scalp.
Whether you’ve noticed increased shedding, thinning, scalp discomfort, or changes you can’t quite explain, this appointment is designed to clarify not pressurise.
You can book here or through the booking links.
Once your appointment is booked, you’ll receive a confirmation email with simple next steps to help Stephanie prepare for your visit.
-
Before your appointment, you’ll be asked to complete a short pre-consultation form - you will find this in your confirmation email.
This allows Stephanie to build a clear picture of your health, lifestyle, and hair concerns ahead of time, so your consultation can focus on what matters most to you.
There are no “right” or “wrong” answers, the form simply helps ensure your appointment time is used effectively and thoughtfully.
-
Consultations last approximately 50 minutes and are relaxed, thorough, and entirely focused on you.
Your appointment will include:
a discussion of your concerns and goals
clinical examination of your hair and scalp
trichoscopic scalp analysis and clinical photography
clear explanation of findings in plain language
If appropriate, potential treatment options, investigations, or referrals will be discussed, always with your consent and understanding.
-
Based on your consultation findings, Stephanie will explain what options , if any, are available to you. This may include treatment, further investigations, referrals, or reassurance that no intervention is needed at this time.
There is no obligation to proceed with treatment. The consultation is designed to help you make an informed decision that feels right for you.
-
After your consultation, you’ll have access to follow-up notes through a personalised portal. This keeps all your information and recommendations in one convenient place.
-
Follow-ups are typically scheduled for 3-6 months after your initial consultation or after starting your treatment plan. During these follow-ups, Stephanie will review your photographs, images and measurements to monitor progress and assess the effectiveness of your treatment plan. Adjustments will be made as necessary to ensure you continue to achieve the best possible results.
-
Stephanie believes that effective hair and scalp care begins with understanding the underlying cause.
Many hair concerns share similar outward signs, but require very different approaches. A comprehensive consultation helps ensure that any recommendations are appropriate, evidence-based, and tailored to you rather than relying on guesswork or generic solutions.
This approach helps protect your hair health and avoids unnecessary or ineffective treatments.
