WELLNESS & LIGHT THERAPY IN IPSWICH SUFFOLK
Hair health does not happen in isolation. Stress and hair so often travel together significant stress is one of the most common triggers for extra shedding and the scalp not responding to treatments. I have found a plan works best when both the scalp and the person are looked after. These are the gentle, restorative treatments in my clinic: one works directly on the scalp, the other simply helps you relax and de-stress .
Auricular Acupuncture
Auricular (ear) acupuncture is a calming, restorative session I offer to support relaxation and wellbeing alongside your hair and scalp care It can be a session after a scalp treatment, or as a standing appointment: a protected hour of stillness in a busy life. And because stress so often plays a part in shedding, looking after your nervous system really is looking after your hair.

Low Level Laser Therapy is often used as a finishing step alongside other treatments, and a course of five is available for that reason, though it can also be booked on its own for a regular, consistent boost. Auricular Acupuncture can be booked as a one off session or on a standing basis, depending on what suits you. As with all scalp and hair changes, results tend to build gradually rather than appear immediately, so consistency generally serves you better than a single session.

Low Level Laser Therapy is a gentle, comfortable session with no downtime, and it can be booked between other treatments without disrupting your routine. Auricular Acupuncture is calming and restorative, and while it is not painful, there can be some mild discomfort when the needles are inserted. I help manage this with breathing techniques, and most people find the session settles into a genuinely relaxing experience.

Light therapy uses specific wavelengths of light directed to the scalp, designed to support scalp health, reduce inflammation and complement hair growth treatment plans. It is included as the finishing step in every microneedling and mesotherapy session here, and it is also available as a standalone treatment.

Stress is one of the most common triggers for extra shedding and for a scalp not responding to treatment. Auricular Acupuncture supports relaxation and wellbeing alongside your hair and scalp care, and looking after your nervous system is genuinely part of looking after your hair. It works well either as a session on its own or straight after a scalp treatment.
-
Low Level Laser Therapy suits anyone already having microneedling or mesotherapy, as well as those who want a gentle, standalone treatment to support scalp health between visits. Auricular Acupuncture suits anyone whose shedding or scalp concerns are linked to stress, or who would simply value a protected hour of stillness alongside their hair care.

Both treatments are gentle and suit most people, though there are some situations to be mindful of. If you have any concerns, I am happy to talk it through with you before booking.
A Note on Expectations
These treatments are gentle by design, and I see them as part of the wider picture rather than a substitute for a full assessment. Low Level Laser Therapy and Auricular Acupuncture are both intended to support the results of your main treatment plan, or to help you manage stress that may be affecting your shedding. As with everything I offer, I will always be honest with you about what a treatment can and cannot do, and I will never suggest something that is unlikely to help you. I welcome clients of all hair types from Ipswich and across Suffolk.
